Dave McCann (he/him)

Dave McCann is the President, IBM Canada, and Managing Partner, IBM Consulting Canada, where he leads a team that is passionate about delivering value to its clients, and helping Canadian organizations, both large and small, use innovative technology to transform their business.

His team includes thousands of IBMers across the country who offer an industry-driven view that enables clients to harness the power of hybrid cloud, AI and other emerging technologies, to solve their biggest challenges and thrive.

Dave has more than 14 years of consulting and business management experience and has worked with IBM Canada clients spanning all industries and geographies coast to coast.

Throughout Dave's career at IBM, he has led many consulting services teams, including IBM’s Cognitive Consulting Business (Cognitive Process Transformation), IBM’s SAP Practice, IBM’s Client Innovation Centre: Nova Scotia, and Industry Leader for the Canadian Public Sector. He also possesses a strong financial management background and significant experience leading large Enterprise Digital Transformation initiatives.

Dave loves building and growing diverse teams. Throughout his career he has hired, managed, and mentored hundreds of consultants and teams, particularly early-career professionals. He is also active in a range of diversity initiatives and acts as the executive sponsor of the Women in IBM program.

Dave is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business and has completed executive education programs with the Harvard Business School and the Canadian Forces College.
